The spherical shaped D100 is the only type of 100-sided dice I know of. On the picture this by Gamescience patented D100, also called the Zocchihedron (TM), named after Louis Zocchi, USAF Retired, Gamescience founder and inventor. Zocchi approached more than one famous mathmatician to help him come up with a 'hedron' shape for this die, but they uniformly declared that no shape could effectivly portray 100 equalateral sides. Zocchi created the dice in response to the need for percentile rolls in fantasy adventure games such as Dungeons and Dragons. |
